The purpose of this project is to create a new alternative design for an existing album cover. I decided to redesign “Nostalgia” by Rod Wave.

Typeface Studies
I explored typefaces that were serifs and had more of a handwritten feel to it to give my design a more personal and elegant feel to it.
I gathered gold jewelry and laid it on a basic pair of sneakers to convey my concept of rags to riches.

I hand-wrote the artist and the album name to add a more personal feel to my new album cover design.

I wanted my designs to highlight the gold to signify the riches and have the backgrounds black and white to signify leaving the past/rags.

I converted the background of each image to black and white and bumped up the saturation on the gold jewelry to make it stand out.
